Can colleges access my work records?

Hi, I am attempting to transfer to Syracuse University for the upcoming spring semester, On my application for admission I listed all of my current jobs and I also referenced the fact that I am working 6 days a week, at one of my jobs, I am working under the table, and at another one of them I was recently layed off, given the fact that I gave them my social security number will they be ale to access my work records? Would they check this?
