Looking for a good birth control pill...?

I have horrible mood swings. One minute I can be fine and the next I feel sad and horrible. I lash out at my boyfriend and at anyone, I lose my appetite and cry hysterically for no reason. Usually it is all about a week before I get my period. Does anyone know of a good birth control pill that can help with the mood swings and a lighter shorter period? Thanks a bunch!
