What's the best route to becoming a Pro Golfer?
I'm a golf instructor so let me ask you a question and see if it makes any sense. If I handed you a musical instrument and you never played a note in your life how long would it take roughly before you could play me a song on that instrument? See, golf is more about a person's time than a person's money. The reason I say that is that as a teacher of the game I'm asked that question all the time. The answer is no one knows how long it will take EXCEPT YOU. How much time are you willing to spend practicing, taking proper instruction, etc. I f you go to aan instructor chances are you are going to see that person for one hour a week. Can you learn anything on an hour a week? No, You will have to practice hours, days weeks, months, maybe years. Now you might be the rare individual who has the natural talent and you'll pick it up right away, or not. Be prepared for NOT. Set some realistic goals to learn and improve if that's what you want to do, and don't quit. It doesn't take any talent or personal effort to be a quitter so give it your best shot.
