Our school doesn't do Halloween costumes, we do book characters instead. Any ideas on a simple book character costume for an 11 year old boy? I've thought of Encyclopedia brown,but I can't seem to find any costume ideas... he was a regular kid.

Am I having a miscarriage?

I should be about 6 weeks. I took two hpt and went to the dr to test but havent confirmed. I have all the signs I am pregnant like urinating frequently and sore for weeks now. I even have acne that i never had in my life. I was told exercise is good for pregnancy so I continued to work out. Last week after my workout I noticed some red blood on my panty but when I wiped nothing. Today I felt a strange pain in my after working out and when I got home I saw more blood. When I wiped it kept showing a light pink to brown spots. In the shower a black slimy **** came out not much but still some brown blood coming out (not really gushing or anything). I do have some very light cramps but have been experiencing that for a few weeks anyway. I did feel a twinge of pain during crunches but ignored it. I guess crunches should be out of my routine but they were small and light ones and im really confused what i should or shouldnt be doing. Please help not sure if I lost my baby over my stupidity or is this normal? I will def stop crunches and see Dr tomorrow.

No matter how hard I try to curl my hair with this new curling Iron that I bought, a Conair Infiniti Iron, it WILL NOT WORK! It just creates a singe at the bottom and looks really stupid. How do I pay for my medical expenses before I settle?

I was in a bicycle accident about two months ago. I was riding my bike and some joker plowed right into me. The accident was 100% his fault. I sustained a hairline fracture of my left arm. The other guy's insurance company is pressuring me settle, but I don't want to yet because the bills are still coming in and I won't know the final cost until I receive all the bills. Also I have a pain in my knee since the accident that still won't go away. So I still need to seek medical advice on that too. After years of trying to get my rural road repaired I have finally had to fix my road so that my cars would not be damaged. I live in a rural upstate Georgia area and the recent poor winters have compounded the pothole problem on my road. I tried going to the town hall meetings and I was told that resurfacing the county roads was in the works but that it would be years away. Problems with video playing on my TV?

I'm trying to watch an .avi file on my LCD TV with windows media player through an RGB cable. The video plays perfectly fine on my PC, and my desktop shows up on the TV as well, but as soon as I start WMP, the TV says there's no signal. Normally, the video automatically goes intro full screen mode on the TV(but not on the PC), but now it just goes away. It has been 8 years and we are still showing much sorrow. It seems that the more we do this we are just letting Osama know that he has done what he wanted. The media is saying that we have only gotten stronger from this attack but come on that is nowhere close to true. Now a tower wants to be build as a monument to a homicidal madman. The more attention we give it the more bin laden sits there and smiles knowing he got the job done. I was very upset with her for putting me through that. So I told her how I felt and I told her to leave but she refused. I just needed some space. I needed to be alone and get some sleep because I was so tired because I'm suffering with mono and am in physical pain because of it. I kept telling her to leave but I felt like she wasn't hearing me so I felt like I had to say something that would get her attention so I told her if she didn't leave then I was going to kill myself. So she finally left the room and I was relieved. I wasn't really gonna harm myself, I just needed time to think. So after that, I heard her talking to someone and I came out and she told me that she had called the police on me. I was so shocked, and hurt and terrified. I felt so betrayed. Why couldn't she just give me some time to myself. I ran out of the house and just needed to talk to someone. I started calling a help hotline but by the time I got through, there was three cops after me. I was so horrified. One of them grabbed me and put me on the ground. He lifted my shirt up. I felt so violated. How could my own mother put me through this. I tried to cooperate and answer there questions. And they wouldn't let me go home unless i go and talk to someone. So they made me get on an ambulence and they took me to a mental institution where I was exposed to things that I just can't get out of my head. I'm just devastated by it. Having people touch me in strange ways. Sick people. I didn't belong there. They wouldn't let me leave. The people who worked there were so cold to me. After 24 hours of no sleep, no food and so much pain from my mono. Emotional pain. They were finally going to release me. I lied to the doctor they had me speak to. I would have said anything to get out of that place and they had me sign discharge papers and one of the workers said "her mother is here to get her." I saw my mom through the window. She was crying. I just wanted to go home to my room. I opened the door and there she was. She asked me for a hug and I refused. I thought I would have missed her or something but I have never had such a strong hatred towards anyone or anything in my life like I did when I saw her. We got in the car and went home and she didn't say one word and neither did I. Now I'm in my room. I haven't seen once since this happened yesterday. I've just locked myself in my room. She hasn't made any attempt to speak to me and neither have I. My question is ... What do I do now ? I have nobody to talk to. No family, no friends, nothing. I would leave if I could but I don't know how to drive and I don't know how to take the bus. I have no money. What do I do about the situation with my mother? Stopping the Oil Spill?

I work in the pipefitting/welding industry. I live in La. where this oil spill drama is unfolding. I've never worked offshore, but I have lots of experience in the petro/chemical plants. The pipe that is leaking doesn't appear to be very large in diameter. I can't understand why BP doesn't fabricate a large diameter pipe (36 inches or larger) and completely drop it over the top of this leaking pipe, from the ocean floor, to the water surface. The weight of the pipe will cause it to sink in the mud/sand, stopping oil from leaking from the bottom. The pressure from the leaking oil well will push up the pipe, to the surface where it can be recovered. It wouldn't take very long to fabricate this, if the flux core or submerged arc welding processes were used. Is this an oversimplified solution that wouldn't work in the real world?

After the first six months of employment through a staffing agency, we got hired in through Dana and were required to start paying union dues to the UAW local 771. these cles are as tough or as hard as you make them. if you are really determined, you can get through it. calc takes a lot of practice, it is not one of those things where you know it just by studying the night before. if you put some effort forward, you will learn it. most college professors are more than happy to spend extra time with you if you are having trouble. a degree in engineering is challenging but worth it.

I have a company that is 9 years old & is suffering with the current climate. Consequently, I now have a large VAT bill (80K) that I am unable to pay. dying your hair black and then dying the bottom burgundy again would really damage your hair and the color would not show up. What i suggest you do, is section off what you want to dye black. after, coat your hair that you want to keep burgundy with some conditioner and put it in foil and move it away as much as possible. then let your hair down that you want to dye black and dye it avoiding the foil. (btw the conditioner will help it be resistant to dye) if you are very careful, it should work. when you are going to rinse your hair out just be careful.. maybe bend down and have your hair facing downwards (like your going to wrap it in a towel) as to avoid the foil.. because it will end up with a weird tint to it if some black dye gets into it. then after that just section off the new black hair and use a very strong reddish color (because your hair is pretty dark) and it should have a nice red/purple tint to it (i think that will look good with black!) once again just be careful of the other hair, but it will be easier because your dying the bottom this time. Good luck!

From a distance you and a stranger are not easy to tell apart, so rely on sound of voice. Sounds harsh but trust me, the less you worry and carry on as normal the easier it will be for her to adjust. Moving things, routine changes and so on, will hinder rather than help your dog. be happy.

I have had my mastiff for 4 years and I thought she was the sweetest dog. I have 2 children under the age of 2 and she is absolutely wonderful with them... when strangers come to the house, she will bark, but once we let them in she runs to her cage and hangs out there until they leave. We got a min pin / poodle mix a year ago, and they have had typical sibling spats which 2 of ended with the min pin bleeding, but nothing life threatening, which considering their size difference (140lbs vs 15lbs) I figured the Mastiff just kinda "forgot" she was bigger... Normally they get along very well they eat together, sleep together, no issues. Last night we were woken up by our neighbors who heard the dogs, but it was too late, my little dog was dead... I don't know what to do, she wasn't mauled, there was barley anY blood, and her neck was snapped.... But can I continue to trust her with my children? Like I said, she has never shown any type of aggression towards people, and she has only ever barked at other dogs, aside from the 2 incidences with "her sister" Please help, I don't know what to do...

Why are new heavy metal bands so harshly criticized?

Slipknot, Korn, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Mudvayne, and others are so hated by many today, and everyone says they "aren't real metal". how is this so? they seem to have the characteristics of metal, just with new styles. So Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed are melodic and not crazy heavy like a "real" metal band such as Cannibal Corpse. did Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, and Black Sabbath just scream about killing and play blast-beats with guitars tuned down to the point where it just sounds like noise? no. were they melodic? yes. were they metal? yes. Avenged Sevenfold especially gets alot of hate and i think they are one of the most traditional new metal bands, with their Maiden-esque style. it bothers me greatly that most kids today think that metal is all about being brutal and whoever can scream more and play harder and faster is more metal. "Oh that Avenged Sevenfold is a metal band that whines and isnt even heavy. Whitechapel and Suicide Silence are as METAL as you can go!" is basically what people think of metal today. i really like the big names in the New Wave of American Heavy Metal. they keep the sound of the clic founding fathers of metal yet take it in new directions as well. and they dont have to be br00tal to me metal.

Honestly, I can't answer your questions with certainty but I did have shingles. I was in college and the nurse, if you can call her that said i had a rash from detergent.. which i knew was wrong. It was very painful and i could barely sleep aside from obviously being itchy. When i finally was able to get to a real doctor they knew in a second that was what it was and they gave me vicoden for the pain. unfortunatly by the time i got to a real doctor it was on its way out.. but i would say definitly go to a DR.. it will look like splotchy bumps and it will hurt like hell- it will spread so try not to itch just like chicken pocks- I wish you better luck than i had with it.

I thought about that a long time ago, (always when studying for exams) but the fact that you have hundreds of lyrics in your brain is because you have listened to the same song many many times. If you read a paragraph many times, you'll remember it as well. And also, in a song, you only have a couple of paragraphs and they are repeated, so i think the reason why lyrics remain printed in our brain is because of repetition and to memorize things when you study that is exactly what you do: repeat, repeat and repeat. The leak is under a bathroom slab, under the tub location, between the end of a 6 inch fiber conduit pipe and a 45 degree iron elbow, which is inserted in the fiber pipe. How to discipline a hardheaded 2 year old?

My daughter is 2. Boy, she is something else. She's really stubborn, and bossy already. She tells us what to do, like "Get out, now!" or "Don't tell me hush!" She fights me on every little thing--what to eat for breakfast, getting dressed (I have to re-dress her at least three times a day, she takes her clothes off all the time), lunch time, play time, nap time, especially BED TIME. Lately she has started spitting... she is just a little terror. Nothing seems to get to her though. She ignores me when I nicely tell her to stop, two or three times. She screams bloody murder in time out--people say put them in a chair, yeah right!! But it doesn't bother her, she'll come out and do exactly the same thing. There are days she will wake at 8am, not have a nap all day, and not want to go to bed at 8pm (her normal bedtime). I'll put her to bed and she will scream and scream for up to two hours. I love my baby, but it really is exhausting to be with her all day, every day, and I NEED her to take a nap, and go to bed. I know someone out there gets what I mean! She will destroy a whole room in less than 2 minutes. I told myself I would never --I've tried it with her and she doesn't even flinch. So I don't even try that anymore--I try getting down to her level and looking at her, and telling her why she is not allowed to do/have whatever, and time out. Nothing seems to work. I don't like taking her out in public, she misbehaves so badly, and screams so loud. And car rides.... are pure hell. Honestly--she screams at the top of her lungs as soon as the straps are fastened, to after she gets out of the car. Help!!!! I am 8 weeks pregnant and so, so sick. This morning she clapped for me and jumped up and down yelling "GOOD JOB MOMMY!" while I threw up.. lol. She is a mess.

Snail reproduction? HELP?

I just bought 2 snails from Petsmart yesterday and today it looked like they were dropping little brown ovals in what looked like a clear adhesive sac. And i'm not exactly sure if this is poop or eggs. I read somewhere that their eggs look like ovals/ circles and they are in clear sacs. so yeah. But they are both releasing them. And it was like they started this morning, and just stopped a few minutes ago. And they're under the water. sux pretty bad that you got the sedan. the g35 coupe is so much better than the sedan. its a decently fast car but it prolly automatic, so its slower than a regular 6 speed g35. its not really a sports car. the coupe is sportier and faster by far, yours will have some pep to it but thats about it. be glad your parents got you a car tho, i had to buy my own. im getting a 08 350z next month tho haha. if you want fast get something like that.

Why buy a rabbit when you can adopt one? There are so many rabbits in shelters that are put down everyday as they are not unwanted. Please save a poor bunny rather then buy one from a pet shop. You will need a brush to brush your rabbits hair too. You really do not need to buy a cage or hutch as rabbits can be litter trained and live happily in your home. Rabbits are easy to litter train. You need a litter tray and yesterdays news litter which is especially for rabbits. All you need to do is to change the litter tray each day. No need to bother with cleaning out a cage. Just rabbit proof your room by removing all wires and cables as rabbits like to chew them and seal any small gaps that a rabbit can squeeze themselves into. You will have such a nice relationship with your rabbit as you will be together and you will bond so well. Rabbits like to play in tunnels so you can get one. You can also get a cardboard box and cut a big hole for the rabbit to go in and out of. Cardboard rolls make nice toys to toss about and chew. It worries me you say you are short of money as rabbits get ill quite often and need frequent trips to the vets. How will you manage to take your rabbit to the vets if they become ill and also for a check up as all rabbits need that once you first take them home.
