How to cure soft-tissue damage?

I'm no doctor, trust me, but it sounds like it may be more then soft tissue damage. I got soft tissue damage to my foot back in November, and had a soft cast put on. It went away after a week. But my mom fell off a chair a couple years ago and still has back pain. I think she bruised her spinal cord? i don't know. but i would definitely recommend you to see a doctor specializing in spines and other things of the such. Just see someone good who will listen and help you.
