Why is my windows XP booting so slow and my account loading so slow? (nearly 20 minutes!)?

man there are so many things that could be the problem that fit your symptoms, over heating cpu over heating power supply your hard drive failing hard drive filling up memory failure a Virus in the bios your Cmos battery dieing and the list goes on the first thing I would do if you have the soft ware back up everything important wipe out the hard drive and start over.
