Not sure why people are all worked up over Wisconsin...?

The truth is that it is not that the public employees are losing the right to collectively bargain that is the real issue. It is that people, deep down, are afraid of change. The collective bargaining was a constant to being a public employee, and now there is a change to an unknown. For the most part, it may get better for public employees, since the basic laws of supply and demand kick in (which applies to hired labor too). Without contracts to limit the public governments in Wisconsin, the state, counties, and cities, that can afford it , can compete to get the best emplyees available.
